Vacancy: Editor/Community Manager at SYMPHONY

SYMPHONY is a new video streaming service that will bring together the 25 best orchestras in the
world on a single platform. There’s an extensive library of recorded concerts on top of which there
will be around 100 live events per year in collaboration with the various partner orchestras.

SYMPHONY is looking for an Editor and a Community Manager.

Editor

What you’ll do at SYMPHONY?
– Think thematically about how to present the available video content on the SYMPHONY
platform
– Come up with titles, short and long descriptions that best give viewers an idea of what a
concert presents
– Ingest new video content into the SYMPHONY database and fill out all relevant metadata

Who are you?
– You know about the canon of symphonic classical music and have a passion to bring this
music to as many people as possible
– You are a good writer with a knack for copy that attracts interest and piques curiosity
– You are comfortable working with or learning about new IT systems such as databases and
content distribution networks
– You are a highly motivated, passionate and collaborative person with a hands-on attitude
with an interest in the future of media
– You are highly accomplished in English, and preferably another language

Community Manager

What you’ll do at SYMPHONY?
– Interact with Symphony users and potential users through various social media platforms
– Come up with ways to create engagement with our followers on various social media
platforms
– Strategize ways to move from engagement to interactivity among users of the Symphony
platform

Who are you?
– You are no strangers to symphonic classical music and have a passion to bring this music to
as many people as possible
– You are a good writer with a knack for copy that attracts interest and piques curiosity
– You are comfortable working with or learning about new IT systems such as databases and
content distribution networks
– You are a highly motivated, passionate and collaborative person with a hands-on attitude
and an interest in the future of media
– You are highly accomplished in English, and preferably another language

– Part-time or full-time position, 20 to 40 hours a week
